It was reported on April 8, at the conclusion of the NATO meeting in Brussels that NATO states have agreed to supply new advanced weapons to Ukraine.
Ukraine’s foreign minister, Kuleba, requested during the meeting for heavy weaponry, including warplanes, missiles, armored vehicles, long-range air defense systems, and other equipment. After the meeting, U.K. Foreign Secretary Truss said Member Nations have approved arming Ukraine by supplying new heavy equipment that will upgrade its weapons from Soviet-era systems to modern NATO-made equipment, reinforcing its defenses to counter Russian forces.
