As for the various actions that Russia will take in this war, U.S. government officials said that the federal government has a commitment in NATO that if any NATO nation comes under attack and invokes Article Five, the United States has an obligation that it will need to join those nations and take actions against the aggressor.
At the same time, the United States will do everything possible to investigate and hold Russia accountable for any use of chemical or biological weapons during the war.
