
On Wednesday, U.S. President Joe Biden and Ukrainian President Zelenskyy held a conference call. During the nearly hour-long phone call, Zelenskyy updated President Biden on the status of the Russia-Ukraine negotiations and thanked the United States and its allies for their assistance to Ukraine as they have been decisive in helping the country. The two leaders also discussed further military, economic, humanitarian aid, and additional sanctions. President Biden said the U.S. has planned to provide another $500 million of direct budgetary assistance to the Ukrainian government in response to Russia’s invasion.
